Pecan Pie Twists
Pecan Pie for breakfast? Why not! These Pecan Pie Twists combine pecan pie filling and buttery, flakey, crescent rolls to make a delicious treat. This recipe would also make an excellent recipe to take to holiday festivities because they are easy to make, without compromising flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 tubes of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (we used Butter Flake) 
- 3 eggs 
- ¾ cup sugar 
- ¾ cup light Karo syrup 
- 1 cup pecan pieces 
- 1 teaspoon vanilla 
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375℉. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. 
- In a medium bowl, beat eggs with a spoon. Add sugar and mix with spoon until dissolved. 
- Add in Karo syrup and vanilla, stir until just combined. 
- Add in pecan pieces and stir until evenly distributed. 
- Unroll two tubes of the crescent rolls, spread the filling mixture on one of the doughs. Place the other dough on top and press the sides together. Take a pizza cutter and cut strips, about 1-inch. Twist the dough twice at one end then twist twice from the other end. Repeat with the other two tubes of crescent rolls. 
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 8-11 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before serving/ Serve with whipped cream and enjoy!
